ABOUT ME
I’m Bryony, a professional chef with experience cooking meals for leading sportspeople the world over, infatuated about food preparation that excites and encourages athletes to perform at their best.
After working as a chef on a private yacht for 16 years, cooking for international teams of 35 hungry sailors, covering each individual’s energy requirements, ethical background, religion, allergies and intolerances, I know how to match the food to the need. I trained with leading chefs in LA on vegan food and have supported people from all different backgrounds, cultures and countries with varying tastes. I have cooked for top tennis pros on tour at the peak of their career, mucking in and adapting to their environment and in different countries to provide the foods they enjoy and meet their nutritional needs. All of this experience has given me a vast understanding of nutrition in sport – but it’s about more than food.
The relationships I build with my clients is key to creating a service that truly benefits their journey. Food is a mood and, once I understand you, I can pinpoint how to support you – whether it’s a feeling of comfort you need when in a different country and unsure of the local food or that morale boost from a super-pack battery of yumminess on your plate.
Studying a Level 4 in Nutrition for Physical Activity and Sport RSPH, plus multiple years dedicated to supporting sporting individuals and teams with the right food to drive their performance, I understand what it takes for athletes to operate at their best.
Food does so much more than fill our stomachs. It is critical to our energy levels, yet many of us forget it’s the foundation on which our bodies function – even sportspeople, where nutrition could not matter more!
Food gets us ready for match day or our next event.
It helps us go the distance throughout the event and deliver outstanding performance.
It aids recovery after the event, during our rest time.
And what about all the hours in between? Nutrition is no one-off fix before a game. It’s an ongoing strategy to keep bodies operating in the exact way they need to, at the right time. But will you continue fuelling your body properly if you are not enjoying your food?
Food is more than a ritual of carbs + protein. It is a mindset. By falling in love with food, we learn to enjoy meals over enduring them. What we put in gives back to us in abundance, and for the sports person wanting to excel, it’s time to embrace food like never before.
No fads, no gimmicks. Just great food and habits.
I’m here to help you invest in yourself and love your food.
